SuperBowl XLV, who ya got?

Well here it is people, Super Bowl Sunday is finally here. So this edition of the Super Bowl pits the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It seems like this match-up has all the makings of a fantastic game.

Now lets see how the two stack up:

W-L             12-4          10-6
Avg. Pts          23.4          24.3
Avg. Allowed    14.5          15.0
Home Record    5-3            7-1
Away Record    7-1            3-5
Div. Record      5-1            4-2
Conf. Record    9-3            8-4

Hit the Jump for my pick and why
Man my time's ticking so I'll just announce my pick now, I like the Pittsburgh Steelers to win SuperBowl XLV  over the Green Bay Packers. I think the Steelers will take this one because Green Bay hasnt seen a defense as good as theirs, which happens to be the best in the NFL, and the when they played a good defense in the Bears they almost lost the game to a 3rd string QB!! Now Im gonna go out on a limb and say that the Steelers' O is a bit better than the Chicago's.

And Aaron Rodgers is amazing and all but if you were watching the NFC championship game, when he got his bell rung by Julius Peppers he was no longer the MVP-like seasoned vet that we've been accustomed to He looked rather shook and played that way and w/o a rookie mistake by Caleb Hanie they could've easily lost that game So I think it the Steelers can reach Rodgers they can win. So that means Harrison and Woodley need to have a say in this game.

Im expecting the Steelers to play Steeler Football if they wanna win. And that means running the ball early, often, and effectively. Then letting Ben be Ben. People look at Ben's stats and sometimes they dont blow you away but if you watched the game and saw his impact then you would agree when I say he's a top 5 QB in this league. And just to spark Conversation my Top 5 is Brady, Manning, Brees, Roethlisberger, Rodgers. To explain my top 2 alternate depending on who has the better year and this list sometimes includes Phillip Rivers who alternates with Rodgers.

But the prediction, I think the Final Score will be 41-38 Steelers and Turnovers will have a role in it. Rodgers will light it up but then the D of the Steelers will close the curtains on his performance. Big Ben will have a historic night and lead the game-winning drive late in the 4th. Troy Polamalu will be destructive for the Packers O but the Packers D will put up some Scores to lend a hand to their team. But all in all I like all my predictions could be wrong but I like the Steelers in this one so lets hope Im right on that.

Now lets all go out and watch some COMMERCIALS! :p

But seriously have a nice time with your family, friends, or random people you dont know watching this football game because this may very well be the last one we will get the pleasure of seeing for a really long time.
