Not sure how I feel about the actual shoe yet, I'll wait till some more colorways drop, but this trailer is so inspirational. I swear it is like impossible to dislike this guy man.
Why don't you look at this, man time has changed yo. If Kanye ain't looking like Puff, like fucking David Ruffin mannnnnnnn check out those teeth yo. But take a trip back in the past when Ma$e was on top of the world and Kanye was just getting a foot in the door.
On the eve of the Kobe VIII, I thought I should post a pair of Kobe VII's that are getting slept on like crazy. I was a big fan of the VII's and the Gold Medals were among my favorite colorways.
So it's seems that Excuse My French, is put on hold for the moment but French isn't about to deprive the people. The 3rd installment in the Mac & Cheese series is slated for a November 9th release.
So basically the NBA GMs get an annual survey where they answer certain questions and one of them happened to be infamous "Who would you prefer taking the final shot at the end of the game?" and this time around Kevin Durant got the better share of votes: Kevin Durant - 46.7% Kobe Bryant - 40.0% Carmelo Anthony - 6.7% This is all statistical it seems, based on the fact that Kobe shot 33% from the field in the last 3 mins of game when his team is ahead or behind by 3 last year. KD shot a 43% in the same situation. So it's hard to argue with stats, but the fact that most of Kobe's shots come harder because of the lack of another legitimate threat to make those shots so it will always be all eyes on Kobe. Unlike Durant who has Westbrook & Harden to space the floor and limit the double team.
I also feel Melo should've garnered more votes because he is as clutch as anyone, this man as put his team on his back on multiple occasions last year and beyond. Should I remind you of the Easter game last year? But what do you guys think? Who do you want taking your last shot? Source: (BlackSportsOnline, ProBasketballTalk)
So it seems this connection is in mid-season form, DJ throws it down so aggressively. It must be like Heaven being able to have 2 high-flying power dunkers on your team like that. But we'll see how far that will take these Clippers.
So the highly anticipated debut album for Kendrick Lamar is here, so now that you've had just a little bit of time to digest it, wouldn't it be good to actually understand a little of what K.Dot is saying? Well that's what Rap Genius is for if you've been under a cave. Or even if you got something from the album that others didn't or wanna express something or you just want to know the lyrics, check it out:
Seems like everyone's dropping sequels nowadays, but this is one that I particularly enjoyed. Slated for a possible Thanksgiving release, so Fab fans be on your toes.
I didn't really get to witness his game while he was alive but after the 30 for 30 documentary I really took a liking to him & his game. It's a shame how some people's lives get cut so short, it would've been amazing to see how his career unfolded. Seems all we are left with are good memories & what if's. He would have been 48 yrs old today, RIP Drazen Petrovic.
With his album on the way, he decides to give the world a sneak peek of it by releasing the intro. What do you guys think? Change your view on the album?
I'm feeling this, Young Chop is really killing these trap beats nowadays man. Anybody ever notice how slurred Chief Keef's words are when you 1st listen to a song then by your 3rd listen, it's so much clearer? It's weird to me. Where that Finally Rich at?
I needed last night to finally let out a collective exhale, because I have been just a tad bit skeptical of the validity of Dwight being a Laker since I heard the news. Hey, I'm one of the Laker fans that witnessed CP3 get ripped out of our grasps so I was ready for that "SIKE! We been rescinded the trade, Dwight's in Orlando chillin". But this has made me a believer, now Louis can't wait for the season to start. Here's a better view of the play:
Last night in Vegas Kendrick recorded the 3rd part in a song series that most have come to love. Some free music before his 1st major label album good kid, m.A.A.d city that drops on Oct. 22

Wiz comes back to hit us with the second version of the street anthem that was Cabin Fever, although there's no Lex Luger on this one it bangs just the same. I really like it and think it's one that will for sure grow on you.
How the hell have I never seen this lmao I've been saying "Smang" for years and using that gif of Flynt Flossy constantly, but my roommate showed me this and I decided I couldn't let the others go without.
So the HBO show 'Hard Knocks' kicks off tonight, and the latest victims are my own Miami Dolphins. If you've never seen or heard about 'Hard Knocks', it's basically an exclusive inside look into the training camp of a team. To me it adds a bunch of unneeded attention to your camp & just causes distractions that you don't need. Somehow my Dolphins didn't get the memo, but our owner cares more about being an entertainment power than he does a football one. Regardless of the fact, this should be fun. Look for Chad's silly antics to be a major part. And for the QB race, Jesus let it be Matt Moore. Catch it at 10 pm EST on HBO
Whoa!!! Man, Argentina ticked off the wrong bunch. No one told homes Russy can fly, but I think he eventually got the memo. A technical foul I'll take every time. Oh and KD, hit em with the dougie shimmy
So I was watching the Olympics, and this was the daytime so I was probably watching some Equestrian shit while KD was spoiling every event I wanted to watch later on that night, and this commercial came on that really caught my eye. It had a story, it kind of put you in the lives of 2 kids from 2 different sides of the world who both got influenced by the same game. They'd both grow up to great players & crossed paths on numerous occasions. And eventually they returned back where their love for the game all started, in the Olympics & it ends on a dramatic toss with the hashtag #RiseAbove displayed. I thought it was an amazing commercial and even broke my blogging hiatus to bring it to you. (P.S. blogging hiatus due to college preparation & computer difficulties, but I will be back for a vengeance pretty soon. Thanks peeps)
I'm hearing that the release date is July 10th, so this'll be out in no time. I've been hearing a lot of Harry Fraud lately and lets hope this collab is a good one. $pitta & Wiz look to follow-up How Fly by dropping a tape on August 9th, I'm curious about how that will sound.
I've taking a liking to the young guy out of the Chi, his latest should be coming up soon with the likes of DJ Holiday & DJ Victoriouz. Be on the lookout

So I'm subscribed to the NBA on Youtube and they always upload these cool little videos and I thought I'd post this one to get you guys ready for Game 4. It's really awesome, enjoy!
Although this may be a dope shirt, but c'mon Cleveland have some self respect. You guys already have a team remember? Does the Cleveland Cavaliers ring a bell? Are you guys just gonna be #TeamWhoeverLebronIsFacing for the rest of his career? Can't be butthurt forever
Okay if you've been following the blog for awhile you may have noticed that I'm not the biggest XV fan, but he does seem to have quite a buzz nonetheless. Although I never really liked the stuff I have heard, I always wanted to give him a real listen. And since this awesome cover caught my attention I decided I'll give it a listen.
And who would I be if I didn't let you guys listen with me. Also XV's The Awesome EP drops on June 26th and you can pre-order it here.

So they let got the visual of my personal favorite off of Dreamchasers 2 and I'm not the one to be telling people how to do their music videos but I would've probably went away from the standing in a warehouse route....yeah
See this is a song I really liked, I'm not sure how many Father's Day songs there are out there but this is one that I enjoy. And no I'm not a father, but I damn sure do appreciate mine. Give the track a listen
So here we are. 2 teams left, 2 All-World players, 2 legacies (1 making its start and the other seeking validation), but there can only be 1 winner.
These NBA Playoffs have been one wild ride, for the viewers as well as the teams involved. Although, if it has taught us anything it is that jumping to conclusions probably isn't the smartest thing to do. No lead is safe and that goes for leads in games as well as series leads. This series looks to be great one that we'll all enjoy, the hard part will be predicting a winner. But like JFK says, that's why we do it.
So over the span of my latest hiatus, a lot of things have took place. I took time out of my busy schedule to successfully turn 18 and graduate high school haha thanks to everyone who contributed. The boy is officially in the real world now, but I like it and now that I got all that out of the way I can focus on things I wanna do. With all this newfound time on my hands, I was like hmmmm its about time the blog made its summer run.
So I'm back and it's back and I'm gonna be trying my best to make it better and better every day. A Day in The Life of The Fly is back and thanks for your constant support. Especially the people who came on every day checking to see if there was a new post, you're cool people haha
P.S. I wanna give a quick shout out to everyone who graduated in the Class of 2012, we've made it! Congratulations, it's been great to be the ones I've had the pleasure of meeting and I wish all of you success in your own right. It's our time to make it happen so let's go do it!
People might laugh & joke, but I actually listened to what the guy was saying hear. His skillset, but I love to find out what's going in a person's head. And after watching this, I respect the guy a lil more. He's found his niche and he's thriving in it, isn't that what we're all trying to do? Do you Waka, "Can't a young man get money anymore?"
Well just in case you're interested, here's a vid of how they got Keef on the new verz. Apparently he's on house arrest so the GOOD Music camp sent out their guy Nael Shehade aka Force One Seven to head out to em and get the vocals.
It debuted during the Lakers/Nuggets game last night, and how bout that LakeShow?!!, it was a couple more commercials and they were all amazing man. I'm amped for this game.
Well finally it is here, I went on a mini-break and still beat the GOOD single on to the interwebs. My thoughts on it, it is Aiiiiite. Nothing special and I'm getting a little disappointed in Kanye lately, hopefully he turns it around because he's Albert Pujols'ing. Also the beat is a lil switched up and I'm not sure how I feel about it. But Check and be heard in the C-section
So the 1st single off of Based on a T.R.U. Story drops today and it marks the 1st time that Drizzy and 2 Chainz have collaborated. I'm not sure how I feel about it, maybe it will grow on me, but I do like 2 Chainz's part & the beat. Truuuuuuuuu
I've been a big KRIT fan ever since the 1st time I heard Krit Wuz Here and I've never looked back. I'm really excited about his debut album and the artwork furthers said excitement. Pretty creative, what do you guys think?
1st off, let's see how long I can keep this installment of the blog going lol. But I thought this to be very humorous and truthful and those are the 2 elements of a great political cartoon.
So here it is, saw the Artwork a bit earlier. But the 1st single off of O.N.I.F.C. (Only Nigga In First Class) is available now. With the Stargate production it seems as if he's reverting back to the Rolling Papers sound and that's a shame because Taylor Allderdice went over so well. That's the industry for ya.
Today one of the best players from my childhood has retired today. He was one of the hardest working, most spirited, emotional players I've ever see hit the field. He was a beast, an animal, and an outright force on the field that earned his respect. Happy trails, B. Dawkins. We'll always remember you, for your intensity if for nothing else. Here's a lil highlight vid to show the kind of player he was:
Although my interest for the Madden franchise has waned, I'm pretty excited about Gus Johnson not being the play-by-play guy anymore. I swear there's no way you can be THAT excited about a 6 yard gain. Also when you add the fact that his co-commentator, Chris Collinsworth, couldn't be more of his opposite. Jim Nantz & Phil Simms, the CBS broadcasting duo, are set to replace them.
And if you aren't following the little cover vote bracket thing, Cam Newton & Calvin Johnson are in the finals and the voting is still live until 4/25 so go be heard.
